Love Takes Over

Verse 1:

On a warm spring night a young couple sits at the riverside on their first date.

Both full of anticipation and a little fear, she feels his hands begin to shake. 

The moment before that first kiss seems like it’s never going to end

He closes his eyes, she closes hers, and their lips finally amend

Then Love takes over…

5 years fly by and the same two souls sit on a front porch swing.

He’s practiced this speech a thousand times before, but the words just won’t come out.

His hand starts to shake, his voice begins to stutter, she still knows what this is all about.
